MIDLANDS AIR FESTIVAL CAMPING ADVENTURE We plan on attending from Friday lunchtime (29th May) to Sunday PM (31st May). We anticipate that we would leave Bristol at about 1100 on Friday (29th May), to be in-place ready for flying on the first slot (Fri PM). If the general crew availability or the weather suggests we need to set off on Friday evening instead, we can do. In either case, the plan would be to return on Sunday after flying. Whether this is after the morning flight, or after the evening flight, is dependent on the weather. If we fly on Sunday AM we would expect to arrive in Bristol at approximately 13:00 on Sunday, otherwise if we fly in the evening we would expect to arrive back about 23:30.   All times and activities are estimates/placeholders (the flying is pretty fixed in time, with briefings at 0530 and 1800), what you want to do in the day is a bit more free. Fri - 29.05.26 1100-1400: drive to Midlands Air Festival 1400-1700: set up tents etc 1700- briefing and set up balloon 1800-2200: flying   Sat - 30.05.26 0500-: get up 0530: briefing 0530-0600: set up balloon 0600-1000: fly 1000-1100: refuelling 1100-17:00: eat, sleep, see airshow, free time 1700- briefing and set up balloon 1800-2200: flying   Sun - 31.05.26 0500-: get up 0530: briefing 0530-0600: set up balloon 0600-1000: fly 1000-1100: refuelling 1100- return back to Bristol,  ---or--- 1700- briefing and set up balloon 1800-2200: flying 2200-2330: return back to Bristol.   Cost will be £45. This will include event entry, camping and shared diesel costs. Please be aware you will need extra money for food and drink. Please note after flight fee will be charged at the usual price of £45. We will be camping very close to the airfield. BUHABS does not provide camping equipment, so as far as possible, you will need to provide your own tent, sleeping bag, warm clothes, towel, snacks, power brick to charge your phone (assume that you won't have somewhere to plug your phone in overnight - we will be sleeping in a field!) etc.   Tickets will become available to purchase at this link from 01 MAY.
